The Government has taken steps to establish special courts to hear and expedite cases on abuse of children and women. Justice Minister, Rauff Hakeem such courts are currently functioning in Colombo and Jaffna and added that two such courts would be set up in Kandy and Kurunegala. Further, the Minister also assured privacy protection of such cases in these courts for the security of victims.![]()
