There was a rare literary event at the University of Peradeniyaabout four years ago. Dubbed ‘SLAM 2010’, it consisted of writers reading from published, to-be-published and perhaps ‘unpublishable’ work and a couple of panel discussions, one on ‘post-war literature’ and one on the publishing industry.
